Claims

With no evidence or source provided, Moto Message claims that text messages have a 95% read rate and a 20% response rate. It is claimed that response for “traditional advertising” is 6%. Still with no evidence, the following comparisons are drawn:

• Direct mail—6%
• Newspaper ad with coupon—up to 6%
• Email—3%
• Radio/TV ad ?

While Moto Message has not provided sources for these numbers, if these numbers are correct then we will definitely be seeing a lot more text message marketing.

Costs

Moto Message offers a three tier pricing plan; A Silver Plan designed for small businesses and groups, A Gold Plan created with medium size businesses in mind, and a Platinum Plan for multiple locations and heavy texters.  This tiered system offers lower monthly costs for organizations with the need for fewer text messages each month.

All three plans: Silver, Gold, and Platinum come with no set-up fee and no contract required.

• The Silver plan costs $49/month, allows 200 messages/month, and charges $0.10 for each additional message.

• The Gold plan costs $75/month, allows 500 messages/month, and charges $0.07 for each additional message.

• The Platinum plan costs $99/month, allows 1000 messages/month, and charges $0.04 for each additional message.

In all cases, inbound text messages are free; all text message credits rollover month to month and never expire; and 1 keyword is included.

On the FAQ page, it says the pricing plan is simple and:

  • You can have unlimited subscribers and campaigns.
  • You may purchase additional keywords for a $50 one time fee.
  • Text message credits may be purchased for as low as $.04/credit.
  • Includes bonus text credits that never expire.
