TextMarks Review

TextMarks is a text message marketing company that has been offering sms services since 2006. Read this TextMarks review to learn more about features, pricing, and customer support options.

Our TextMarks review provides information on the text message marketing service and features offered by TextMarks. This sms marketing service is a true sms service that sends messages via a shortened phone number, called a shortcode. The shortcode used by TextMarks is 41411, this is the phone number that subscribers will text a keyword to in order to be opted into a campaign to start receiving messages from a business or organization using the TextMarks service. TextMarks offers a free 14-day trial offer. After the free trial plans start at $49 per month. Continue reading our TextMarks review for more information on this mass text marketing provider.

In our text marketing reviews there are a few things we always look for: pricing, features, customer support, and extra charges. TextMarks does a good job of showing who can benefit from mass text messages and why different businesses and organizations may want to consider using an sms service. The TextMarks program offers many of the standard texting features that we have come to expect from the top mobile marketing firms. Some features include:

  • Group Text Blasts – send messages to an individual or an entire group.
  • Scheduled Alerts – schedule messages for a specific date and time.
  • Send Text Message by Computer – easy-to-use web-based dashboard.
  • Co-Managers – send text alerts from your phone or designate a co-manager to send alerts from his/her phone.
  • Analytics – view and manage current subscribers and watch your list grow with analytic graphs.
  • Subscribe by text or web – clients opt-in by texting your keyword to 41411 or by entering phone number in a web form.
  • List options – use multiple keywords, groups, and subgroups to segment your lists.
  • Advanced API Integration – Programming options for more data, keyword management, statistics, and more.

They also give examples of how different types of businesses and organizations can benefit from mass text messaging. From churches and schools to corporations and club and party promoters, TextMarks shows how each can benefit from using an sms service.

TextMarks Pricing

Next, let’s take a look at the TextMarks pricing. TextMarks offers month-to-month plans and requires no contract. The Bronze plan starts at $49 per month and includes 1250 message credits. This plan includes 5 free groups, email support, and unlimited users. Additional fees vary from plan to plan but on the Bronze plan users can expect to pay 4 cents per message for additional messages used beyond the monthly credits, if you exceed the number included in your plan you will be automatically billed the per message rate for any additional messages used, and anyone wanting additional groups can expect to pay $15 per group. The next available plan is the Silver plan at $99 per month. The silver plan includes 3,500 message credits and 10 free groups. This plan includes priority email support and reduces the extra message charge to 3 cents per message. There is no phone support available unless you are on the Gold plan at $199 per month. The lack of phone support is one of the biggest complaints we have heard from users of text marketing, in general.

TextMarks Customer Support

As mentioned above, the first two TextMarks plans only include email support but the website says they are available via phone, email, or live chat. We would recommend talking to the sales team before you sign up to find out what support is available to you once you are a customer. With text marketing everything is time sensitive so if you’re going to have to wait two or three days for a response to an email about a simple question it may be a problem.

TextMarks has been in the text marketing business since 2006, that is a long time for the sms industry. That is something they have going for them. It’s nice to have a company that is aware of how the industry works and what all the rules and regulations are. Visit TextMarks to learn more or give them a try with their 14 day free trial offer.

Tatango Review

In this Tatango review we will take a look at the sms marketing services they have to offer. Tatango was founded in 2007 by Derek Johnson. In a note from the CEO, Derek says they have two things to offer customers, “…beautiful, easy-to-use, enterprise-grade SMS marketing software, and world-class support and expertise…” The Tatango website is different from most text marketing providers in that there is no pricing page and no features listed. This can make it hard to compare them to the competition because you don’t know exactly what is included or what you will be paying for the service.  They do offer a contact form and phone number for sales so that potential clients can get more information but it’s not readily available on their website.

Without pricing and feature information it is hard for us to give you a thorough review, we will take a quick look at the different services Tatango offers and you can determine if it’s worth getting in touch with them to get more information about features and pricing. Tatango offers Enterprise Software. The description of the enterprise software doesn’t give any details of what it includes or who it works for, it simply says that it, “…combine[s] the software infrastructure needed to power some of the world’s largest SMS campaigns, with the usability and design that rivals any consumer facing software application.” We really can’t speculate on what this includes but can infer that the service is robust enough to support a large text marketing campaign and that they believe the design is at least comparable to that of other leading sms providers.

The next sms solution they have listed is their Professional Services. Under this category Tatango talks about their support team that is available to help businesses of all sizes create a sms campaign that will work for their industry and goals. Again, they don’t give a lot of specific information about what exactly is provided but they state that, “Our passion at Tatango is helping businesses like yourself succeed in SMS marketing, that’s why we’re here.” Without talking to Tatango or using their service personally we can’t say how much help is available or in what form the help comes but it may be worth talking to a representative to see how they can help your business be successful with text marketing.

The last area of focus on their Solutions page talks about their Short Code Provisioning service. Tatango has been a Common Short Code Administration top provider since 2012, their goal in helping customers provision a short code is to make the process a, “…much smoother, shorter, and less expensive process for [their] clients.” Tatango states that they can launch a fully-functional shortcode in a matter of days, instead of months. Again, you will have to contact a sales representative to get any real information about the process, pricing, available short codes, and other information needed to determine if this is the best text marketing option for your business or organization.

From our Tatango review we left the site feeling like we knew very little about the company and what they offer. It is likely their goal is to talk to everyone on the phone to try and sell their service to each person. We have not talked to them personally so we can’t share any opinion on how high-pressure the sales team may or may not be. The Tatango website offers a lot of customer reviews and testimonials if you want to delve into those to see what kind of businesses are using their service.

SUMOTEXT Review

SUMOTEXT Review

The days of hanging flyers on doors or mailing business promotions to customers have long passed. The day of mobile text messaging for promoting your business is here, and its popularity is beginning to soar. The text messaging service we are going to review in this article is SUMOTEXT, a provider offering service as simple as just sending a message to services allowing full interactivity with your subscribers. Remember, we will focus on 3 of the most important elements to your business when searching for a text message marketing service: cost, ease-of-use, and support options. First, lets look at some features of SUMOTEXT.

SUMOTEXT offers very similar features to many of the SMS marketing companies out there. It simply allows you to build your subscriber database by marketing your keyword and shortcode, and then providing organization to your subscribers so you can market accordingly. The basic features include:

  • Sending messages to everyone, multiple subscribers, groups of subscribers, or multiple subscribers across keywords.
  • Organize and manage your subscribers based on keyword.
  • Set-up auto response messages for initial opt-in, interactive polling, or customer feedback. (Known as sticky sessions which we’ll talk about later in this article)
  • Real-time delivery reports giving you the ability to track your messages sent and if they were delivered.
  • Real-time updated statistics of your subscribers by what carrier they’re on and by what state their area code is from. (Because it is by area code, this functionality does not guarantee that is where the subscriber lives)
  • Text-for-info capabilities

Like what was said earlier, most of these features are available from other companies that sell SMS marketing services. Each company has its own little flavor of how they carry out these basic features.

A couple of the more advanced features that are impressive are web forms and sticky sessions.

Each account with SUMOTEXT is given its own url directing subscribers to a generated web form, with user-defined fields to gather customer information. An example would be to insert the url given to you by SUMOTEXT into the auto-responder message that is sent when someone opts-in to your mobile marketing campaign. The subscriber can then follow the link and fill out the web form you set up. You can have up to 11 fields, each customizable with a different item of information about the person. The example video on their website shows a form with the name, email, city, state, and political party affiliation. Where this function really shines is when a subscriber fills out this generated web form and submits the information, your subscriber database is updated with that information.

Sticky sessions are an interesting way to track user feedback for your business. This handy feature waits for and records random responses from your customers. An example given is a restaurant manager wanting feedback from his customers about how their service was. The sticky session is activated and waits for a response from his customers, then records that response and sends a custom auto-response message thanking them for their feedback. A valuable way to utilize this for customer feedback would be to provide incentives to customers for texting in feedback to your system and this is all done through sticky sessions.

The SUMOTEXT website provides prices for those who qualify for a “small business discount.” A small business in SUMOTEXT’s eyes is one that has 5 or fewer locations such as restaurants or retail locations. The small business plans and prices are as follows:

Basic

  • $79.00 per month
  • 1000 messages per month
  • $.08 per additional message used

Plus

  • $139.00 per month
  • 2000 messages per month
  • $.06 per additional message used

Pro

  • $299.00 per month
  • 6000 messages per month
  • $.04 per additional message used

There is a one-time set up fee of $100 to get your small business account with SUMOTEXT. This price includes “call to action prices per message with this service run from $.05 to $.08 per message. If you have more than 5 businesses and need custom pricing plans, you can contact SUMOTEXT for a quote. According to the website, custom packages start at $500 per month which is a hefty chunk of change for a business that might just barely miss the mark for “small business.” There is a 14-day free trial option available to potential clients that would like to test their product within their own business.

The SUMOTEXT website has video tutorials and demonstrations of their system and for the most part it looks easy to use. The dashboard, or default screen when you log-in, contains the 3 simple tools for analyzing your campaign that were mentioned earlier in the article. Here you can get a quick, over-all glimpse of your message usage and your subscribers by carrier or area code. The rest of the system appears in a simple layout, layed out proportionally. The videos should provide enough information to get your campaign off and rolling, but each account setup comes with “training, and dedicated service and support!” Use the service and support as much as you need it to make sure you understand all the functions. You want to get the most for your money. While we are on the support subject, SUMOTEXT provides a few different avenues to have your questions answered. Their FAQ page is a little more abundant than other companies that have been reviewed and they have email (monitored 24/7/365 according to them which is a plus if its true) and standard phone support as well as an emergency phone number when things go wrong. SUMOTEXT also provides an information page about shortcodes, what they are, the difference between dedicated and shared shortcodes, and rules for being compliant with shortcode standards. This is valuable information for consumers so they make sure they know what the regulations are and adhere to them properly.

SUMOTEXT is connected to the major carriers such as Verizon, Sprint, and AT&T and they also are connected to many regional cellular service carriers. They also boast an international list of over 200 countries and 800+ carriers for those looking to do international business with text message marketing. SUMOTEXT appears to be a viable option to consumers, but make sure to DO YOUR RESEARCH. If you find that it works for you, it looks to be a great and reliable system.

*****Since this SumoText Review was written there have been many changes to their website. Pricing and plans are no longer available online. SumoText requests that you email or telephone for more information.

SlickText Review

In this SlickText Review we will take a look at the text message marketing products and services offered by SlickText.  Keep reading to learn more about the SlickText company, their mobile marketing platform, and details on their text message marketing plans and pricing.

Although SlickText is a fairly new text message marketing provider they appear to have all of the right things in place to become one of the leading providers in the market today.  The SlickText team is made up of educated professionals with experience in computer science, website design, product development, marketing, and customer service.  They have come together with the goal of designing one of the most user-friendly and affordable mobile marketing solutions, and in our experience they have met their goal so far.

SlickText  does an excellent job of explaining text message marketing in a way that any user, novice or expert, can understand.  Because mobile marketing is still fairly new, people and businesses do not completely understand how it works, or the value of opt-in marketing.  It is important for providers to help educate their customers, not only in how to use their product but also how to succeed using mobile marketing campaigns.  SlickText has advice and tips on how many different types of businesses, from retail to sports teams, can use text messaging.  They educate their users on how marketing strategies are changing and how they can use it to their benefit, by moving their focus from interruption marketing to permission based (or opt-in) marketing.

It is very obvious SlickText had their users in mind when creating their platform.  Their website provides clear and concise information on how the platform works, what your control panel will look like, what you can expect to experience while using their text messaging plans.   The SlickText dashboard has a very user-friendly navigational bar that quickly and easily guides you to pages that assist you in sending messages and managing your campaigns, textwords, contacts, your profile, and your text messaging plan.  Their control panel includes a number of helpful tools to assist their customers; including question mark icons with additional helpful information, easy to understand analytics of text marketing campaigns, and an easy-to-use message template for composing bulk text messages.

Choosing your SlickText plan is also a very simple process.  Once you choose your “textword”, or the word you feel will best represent your company, and the word your customers will use to opt-in to your text message marketing campaign, you can choose from the several marketing plans they offer.  All plans include more than 1 textword, when signing up you will choose a main textword and add the others once you sign up.  All of the SlickText message plans are pretty straightforward, they include:

The Basic – $29/month

  • 500 messages/month
  • 2 textword

The Steph Up – $49/month

  • 1000 messages/month
  • 4 textwords

The Lil Bro  – $79/month

  • 2000 messages/month
  • 6 textwords

The Big Brother – $139/month

  • 3600 messages/month
  • 8 textwords

The Boss – $189/month

  • 5000 messages/month
  • 14 textwords

Visit the SlickText site for other plan details and options.

None of the SlickText text message marketing plans are subject to set-up or activation fees, you can always upgrade or downgrade at anytime, and there is never any cancellation penalties or fees.  All three of things are an extra added value especially if you are new to text marketing.  Without any experience or established customer database it is difficult to know how successful your campaign may be or how quickly it may grow, and therefore have no idea how many text messages you will be sending out that month.  You may also have months where you will be sending more texts than others, especially if your company is very seasonal like sports teams, ski shops, schools, special events etc…Having the ability to adjust your plan or cancel at anytime with no penalties is a huge benefit.

SlickText provides their customers with several different methods of customer support.  On their site you will find a Slick Text help center with guidance and tutorials of your entire control panel, there’s everything from setting up your auto-reply messages to managing your contacts, and everything in-between.  They also have an easy text message marketing tips page that offers guidance and tips specifically addressing nearly every type of business you can imagine from restaurants to radio stations.  The SlickText FAQ page offers answers to many common questions.  You may also contact them via their contact page via their message system, email, or their toll free telephone number; which by the way we did and they were very quick to respond and very helpful.

Overall we found SlickText to be very user-friendly, informative, helpful, easy to navigate and very affordable.

Protexting Review

Protexting Review

Protexting is a web based text message marketing company that provides a platform to send group text messages.  This review of Protexting will cover some of the features and costs.

After a vast search online and of their website, there is limited information available on Protexting.  There is a brief about us page and and an address located on their “contact us” page along with a phone number and email address.

The Protexting website is limited in information in comparison with the sites of their competitors and with the exception of their site map, it is not easily navigated.  They do not give any clear advantage over any of their many competitors in the industry.  There are a few statistics given on the advantages of text message marketing (without sources) to help the decision to go with a mobile marketing campaign.

They offer nine different pricing structures ranging from 10 messages to 30000 messages a month.  Here are some of the packages that are offered:

  • Startup
    • 1000 messages per month
    • 1 keyword
    • $49 a month
  • Standard
    • 3300 messages per month
    • 4 keywords
    • $149 a month
  • Business
    • 6700 messages per month
    • 6 keywords
    • $299 a month

After looking around the website, they do have a support link at the top and bottom of the page which takes you to the “contact us” page.  There is a phone number, email address and you can fill out a form to send to them from this page.

In all, Protexting offers a service that is an obvious advantage to conventional marketing strategies such as:

  • direct mail
  • newspaper ads
  • email
  • tv/radio

The problem is that there are hundreds of companies that offer this very same service and there are no additional features to set Protexting aside from them.  They do offer their plans slightly below the average for the industry which should compensate for the issues that will seemingly arise.  The navigational delays impede the thought that their web based platform will perform any better and the difficulties finding a way to contact support could lead to more of just that, difficulties.  When weighing everything together it seems that they offer a more time consuming, hands on approach at a lower price.

Ez Texting Review

Ez Texting is an SMS service provider that provides text messaging packages to businesses and helps them market their company. Their service coverage includes the United States and Canada. With a name like “Ez Texting” you expect a company that will provide an SMS messaging service that is intuitive and simple to use. In this SMS marketing review, we’ll examine Ez Texting, its service and the features provided by them.

From their website, Ez Texting’s philosophy is “that launching an SMS Marketing campaign does not need to be difficult.” We completely agree. Your focus should be “how do I market effectively to my clients?” It should NOT be “how do I get this blasted SMS service to work?” But, regardless of ease, its always nice to have ways to get help. Therefore, we’ll start by reviewing the support aspect of EzTexting because it was impressive to see the wide array of options to get help from them.

We see the common support options such as email,  phone, and support by fax. They guarantee a response to your email inquiry within 4 hours and if that isn’t quick enough, they have a live chat where you can talk to a support representative as long as it is within business hours. If your needs are less time-contingent, they have a well-populated FAQ page as well as a help center that addresses many common problems and questions that customers ask. If you want to do deeper research into this product and how mobile marketing works, they have a good list of options for you:

  • Set up a webinar of how their product works
  • A video tour of some of their dashboard/control panel and some of its features
  • How-to videos
  • System documentation
  • Step-by-step “get started” guides
  • Mobile marketing guide – great way to get tips about your mobile marketing campaign
  • Plenty of case studies and customer testimonials

You won’t be wanting for support options here; all options prove to be informative on getting your mobile marketing off the ground. There is a catch, however. Support options are available for message plans that are using their “Express Delivery” methods. If you purchase packages with the “Standard Delivery” option, you won’t receive support for these (both Standard and Express Delivery are discussed later in this article) Now lets look at some of the features of the EzTexting platform.

Aside from the standard features you look for in an SMS marketing service, such as contact management (including the ability to group contacts), auto-response set-up, and scheduling future messages, Ez Texting offers additional features to meet your business needs. Some of the features are:

  • Web widget to allow your customers to opt-in from your web page
  • Facebook widget where customers can provide their information on your Facebook page to opt-in (appears as a tab on your Facebook profile)
  • The ability to voice broadcast a message. Through their system, you can upload a .wav file or if you don’t have a microphone, you can request a call from their automated system that will record the message for you to send out to your customers.
  • Send pictures to clients through a WAP link which is basically just a link to a mobile website with that picture on it. Only mobile phones with web access can actually view the link, anyone else can view it from a computer with a web browser. They also provide capability of sending a video over text message, but it requires you to sign up with one of their partners called “myBrainshark” before you can do so.
  • You can send a message from your phone to your contacts with 2 options
    • If you have a smartphone, their system is web-based giving you the ability to send messages from their web dashboard. They have an app available for Blackberry users as well.
    • A feature called “text-blast.” Simply text your keyword with a message to your shortcode and the system will send that message to all your subscribers.

Ez Texting has a decent list of features available to you. If you want to know more, check out their website.

The pricing for the use of Ez Texting is where things become confusing. The system itself seems easy to use without too many features outside the scope of the basic user. First, lets discuss the 2 different types of message services they use, Express Delivery and Standard Delivery.

Express Delivery messages are more reliable and are delivered quicker to your customers. It is sent from the short code Ez Texting uses that is directly connected to the carriers. They offer support for these messages.

Standard Delivery messages are less-reliable and occasionally messages can be delayed from sending out or even dropped. The reason? Ez Texting sends these messages via SMTP, the same protocol used for email. A lot of the reliability issues are dependant up many things that cannot be controlled such as server speeds and network traffic at the time the message is sent out. Ez Texting doesn’t provide support for these messages.

Read our review on SMS, SMPP, and SMTP for more details about the differences between the protocols for Express Delivery and Standard Delivery messages.

At first glance, the prices look good for the standard messaging service, getting as low as $.02 per message, but after reading the description of the Standard Delivery service, one has to wonder, am I really getting a good deal? On the other hand, you can purchase the Express Delivery message packages and have more reliable transmission and the many support options available to you, but you end up paying from $.04 to $.05 per message. The company does also offer a Pay & Go plan that allows you to pay per message (2.5 cents per message for the Standard Delivery and 5 cents per message for the Express Delivery) and just pay for additional messages if you run out during the month. As for keywords, they charge $25 per month to have an additional keyword. That gets spendy if you need several keywords on your account. They do, however, have an unlimited number of sub-keywords for grouping purposes. If you want to try before you buy, they offer a free trial that will deposit 10 credits (messages) into your trial software for testing purposes.

Ez Texting offers some nice features and great support options. Their prices aren’t bad, especially if you go with their Standard Delivery option. The downfall is the more appealing message prices are the least reliable and don’t provide support. Also if you are looking at having multiple keywords, $25 per keyword is a hefty bill. There are other companies out there that offer additional keywords at a much lower cost. Carefully consider Ez Texting when selecting an SMS marketing company and make sure the pricing will fit in your budget for marketing.

BoomText Review

This BoomText Review offers information on the BoomText SMS marketing provider and what text message services they offer.  Learn about BoomText, and how it might help your business with its text message marketing needs.

One of the up and coming business marketing tools is the text message. Text messages can be sent to any cell phone, sharing information about your business and helping you reach customers. Text message marketing is becoming increasingly popular because it offers a way for you to connect quickly and easily with customers — almost everyone has a cell phone these days. Text message marketing has a number of advantages:

  • Most people have cell phones, so you reach customers easily.
  • You can reach hundreds — or even thousands — of customers at once.
  • Users are notified of text messages, so your marketing message gets attention.
  • Your text message won’t get caught in a spam filter.
  • Text messages are customizable in terms of the message and in terms who you send the message to.

There are a number of companies that offer services to help you reach others through text message marketing. One of those services is BoomText.

Text Message Marketing with BoomText

When you use BoomText, you are able to send SMS marketing messages to people on your list. You can quickly send messages, since BoomText takes care of helping you organize your list into separate groups, and helps you figure send messages to specific contacts. You can also set it up for keywords. It’s a good service if you are trying to build a community of loyal followers. You can send them exclusive texts about special promotions and offers, as well as let them know about sales, and send discounts. This is a way to keep in touch — and encourage customers to visit your store for the specials advertised with your text messages.

BoomText offers the ability for you to set up messages so that users can text short codes to you to get the deals they want. Keywords are used to grab attention. Pricing is based on keyword: You get one keyword for $50 a month. You can do three for $75 and five for $100 (this is the best value). Each text you send is $0.025. So you can send around 1,000 text messages for $25 a month, plus the cost of your keywords. So, it would be $100 a month if you did three keywords and sent $1,000 text messages. BoomText offers a free trial (no credit needed) so that you can test it out before committing.

The user interface with BoomText is really basic, and can seem clunky and unfriendly at times. It is not as slick as some others might be. However, it is relatively easy to use once you get used to the interface, and it makes managing your different groups and contacts fairly easy. Overall, BoomText is a service that can be quite helpful to you if you are exploring your options related to SMS marketing. It is cost-effective, and it is flexible, so that you are able to help your business grow.

Trumpia Review

Trumpia is an SMS text messaging provider that runs off a web based platform.  This Trumpia Review article will review the features and costs involved with Trumpia.

(**see bottom of review) Finding out company information on Trumpia was fruitless both on their website and via the World Wide Web.  There is no information about Trumpia’s founders, operators, inception date or location.  Through the Trumpia.com “contact us” page they do list two different addresses, one in Oregon and one in California, but state they are not office locations.

The website for Trumpia is full of pertinent information including a short video of how it works.  It is easily navigated and contains links and multiple avenues to access text message marketing information.  The Trumpia site lacks the information about the Trumpia company and any support information.

There are several key features that Trumpia has to set it aside from the mobilie marketing industry.  Along with these text message marketing features they also offer a fifteen day trial to test their text message platform. Those features are:

  • Mobile Text Marketing
  • Voice Broadcasting
  • Instant Message Marketing
  • Email Marketing
  • Rollover Messages

There is a wide range of SMS text message marketing packages for Trumpia starting at 1,000 messages a month and going up to 30,000 messages a month.  There are also custom group text messaging plans for those that would need more messages or custom short codes.  A drawback to these packages is that there is a limit to the number of contacts each plan can keep.

** See below for new pricing options (8/2/11) Here are a few of the text message marketing packages that Trumpia offers:

  • Multi 1000
    • 1000 messages per month
    • 2 keywords
    • $50 a month
  • Multi 3400
    • 3400 messages per month
    • 5 keywords
    • $160 a month
  • Multi 10000
    • 10000 messages per month

** See below for update (8/2/11)The Trumpia website has no option for any support and the only contact information is pertaining to sales or payment options.  The lack of this information is very troublesome as this is a key selling point in any web based industry.  The added SMS marketing options and features that are available make the lack of support information that much more problematic.

Our Trumpia Review indicates, when adding everything together, Trumpia should have an easy to use web based platform for your text messaging campaigns based off their sites ease of use.  Their text message marketing package plans are right at the industry average which weighs well in their favor because of the added features they have. The hinder with Trumpia is their lack of access to text message marketing support (see below).  The same features that make their average costs feasible are also more of a burden because of this.  The trial period should allow you to gage just where the problems may be, if any.

**Since this review (currently 8/2/11) Trumpia has made some changes to their company on their “About Us” page including a physical address.  They have also updated their support by including a support ticket system that is staffed 7 days a week.  You may now also save money on all of the Trumpia pricing plans by prepaying 3, 6, or 12 months in advance.

SMSMarketing360 Review

Check out this SMS Marketing 360 review, in it you will find all the mobile marketing features, pricing, and freebies they offer. Learn whether SMS Marketing 360 has a text marketing plan that will fit your business’ budget and texting needs.

SMS Marketing 360 has been creating and managing SMS marketing campaigns for local (Colorado) businesses and organizations throughout the United States since 2007. They have designed a text marketing campaign that is very user friendly, and has a number of ready-to-go templates that make setting up a text marketing campaign very simple. They also guarantee if they do not have a template or campaign that suits your needs you they will create one for you at no cost.

The SMSMarketing360 web based text marketing software is set up much like many other mobile marketing companies. The mobile marketing software is all web based, stored on their servers, and customers login to their account via the Internet to manage their text marketing campaigns. All the customer databases, text messages, and account information is stored online within a password protected account. Customers choose a keyword, when creating an account, which is what separates their account from any other accounts. All SMS Marketing 360 customers use the same shortcode, 39970. SMSMarketing360 also has a sister company called Chiropractic Marketing 360, which offers numerous website, logo, and marketing services. So if you find you are happy with their text marketing services, you may want to ask them about building you a website, or getting your website into the top search results, or creating other marketing strategies for you. But, for the purpose of this review we will concentrate on the text marketing products and services offered by SMS Marketing 360.

SMSMarketing360 has many of the same basic functions and features of most SMS text marketing companies. As an opt-in type marketing system, the customer chooses a keyword that will represent their company and their account throughout their text marketing campaign. The customer, or potential customer then texts that keyword to their shortcode, which is 39970. Once they text the keyword to the shortcode they have given the company their explicit permission for them to send text messages to them. The persons phone number is then automatically added to the account database and stored for future texting. Upon opting in SMSMarketing360 also allows an automated initial welcome text that will be sent out immediately after opt-in. Welcome messages, or auto-responders, are an excellent way for businesses to deliver discounts/incentives.

There are also a few unique features available through SMSMarketing360, one of which is the ability to do “timed campaigns” that will send automated text messages at set increments (ie. 1 week, 1 month, 90 days etc…). This is a great feature for businesses with services that require follow up visits or services, such as; car services, medical or dental offices, pest control, etc…They also offer “specific campaign limits” allowing businesses to set a limit on how many customers may receive the special discount, once the set number of customers receive the special offer the rest will get an alternate message. Along the same lines, businesses may also limit a special offer to a customer on a one time basis. Once a customer receives the text with the discount/offer, if they try to get the coupon again they will be sent an alternate message. Many businesses like to know and keep track of their customers birthdays and send them a special birthday message, this text message system allows automated birthday messages. And unlike many text marketing companies, they allow auto-personalization within your text, which basically pulls the persons name from your database and inserts it into the texts you send them, giving the text a more personalized touch.

The SMSMarketing360 text marketing plans and pricing are based on the number of subscribers. Businesses can send an unlimited amount of messages, but once they meet each level of subscribers their account will automatically be upgraded. There may be pros and cons to this method of billing. This type of unlimited texting system would work best for businesses with a small number of subscribers that they text on a regular basis, ie. a church sending a daily scripture or thought. It may not be the best option for a company on a budget, with a large database wishing to only send a periodic text. With this method one would never have to worry about going over their allotted monthly messages or contacting the company to upgrade their plan. On the other hand they lose the ability to upgrade or downgrade their own plans without adjusting their customer database. If you think the SMSMarketing360 text marketing plans seem like something you would like to try, visit their site and sign up for their free trial account that allows you unlimited subscribers and 50 messages.
