Trumpia – The Company

Trumpia prides themselves in being more than just another SMS or text marketing company, advertising their product as an “all-in-one marketing” solution.  Their single web-based software integrates several aspects of marketing including mobile text marketing, email marketing, voice broadcast, instant message marketing, and social media.  This multi-channel marketing is designed to allow businesses to reach out to their customers in their preferred method of communication.  Trumpia claims their single integrated platform helps businesses reach 100% of their customers and increases the likelihood of getting people to read their email message or opt-in to their mobile marketing campaigns.

Trumpia – SMS Reseller Program

The Trumpia SMS reseller program is a turn-key white label platform that is web-based and designed to integrate several forms of marketing.  From their patented all-in-one platform you can manage mobile text, email, voice, IM, and social marketing all in one place.  The “white label” portion of a reseller program indicates you are able to run your text message marketing business using your own logo and branding, Trumpia provides you all with the products and tools but only your name and information is visible to your customers.  Trumpia resellers purchase text messages at wholesale rates (as low as $0.01/text) and are then allowed to create their own mobile marketing packages and customize their own pricing structures.  All Trumpia reseller accounts include the technology to offer their customers:

Besides the all-in-one marketing, the patented platform, and custom pricing benefits, Trumpia offers their resellers the choice of several different short codes and gateways, offer web design services to help resellers create their logos and branding, and provide resellers with detailed reporting and analytics.  Other than actually finding your customers for you Trumpia does just about everything else.  It is illegal for any text marketing company to provide any email or text message customers to their customers.  If you are considering becoming a reseller, you should be aware that as a reseller you are responsible for making your customers aware of anti-spam laws and that these types of service are on an opt-in basis, and buying a customer list is not considered opting in.  Trumpia will provides resellers the platform, video tutorials, the short codes, the text messages, the white labeling, the software, pretty much everything you will need to start your own multi-marketing company.  It is up to the reseller to then take all of these tools, use them wisely, and use them across all forms of advertising to encourage businesses to sign up for their services.

Trumpia – SMS Reseller Pricing

Trumpia has three white label reseller plans to choose from – Starter, Premium, and Elite.  All three of these have a $500 set up fee, a specified number of text credits and keywords, and use the short code 96362. The differences within the packages can be found within the monthly fee, the text credits, number of keywords, the amount of training and support, and whether marketing and collateral is included.  These differences are as follows:

Starter Agency Solution – For small agencies with less than 5 clients

  • $500 one-time setup fee
  • $150 monthly licensing fee
  • 5,000 text credits each month
  • 20 mobile keywords
  • Only email support
  • No marketing collateral (Powerpoints, case studies, white papers, etc.)

Premium Agency Solution – Considered the best deal

  • $500 one-time setup fee
  • $250 monthly licensing fee
  • 10,000 text credits each month
  • 100 mobile keywords
  • Phone and email support
  • Includes marketing collateral

Elite Agency Solution – Considered the “Most Popular”

  • $500 one-time setup fee
  • $1,400 – Minimum wholesale of 100,000 text credits

With any of the three reseller package plans you may also purchase the following add-ons:

  • Custom design services (must call for quote)
  • Dedicated email server – $125 a month
  • Use of different short code (70000) – $150 per month
  • Use of other short code (96000) – $300 per month

The wholesale rates for Trumpia roll-over text message credits are:

  • 100,000 for $1,400 (or $0.014)
  • 200,000 for $2,600 (or $0.013)
  • 500,000 for $5,500 (or $0.011)
  • 1,000,000 for $9,000 (or $0.009)
  • 2,000,000 for $14,000 (or $0.007)

Overall these prices are pretty steep.  When compared to other text message marketing companies Trumpia is one of the highest priced.  But, in all fairness they are not only selling a SMS mobile marketing platform.  As stated above, they have a multi-marketing platform that integrates everything together not just your text messaging campaign.

Trumpia – Reseller Support

The Trumpia SMS reseller program is available to people within the U.S., Canada, and the United Kingdom.  They provide a toll-free telephone number to U.S. and Canadian resellers weekdays from 6:00 am – 6:30 pm PST and on the weekends from 8:00 am – 4:00 pm PST.  The UK resellers have a separate contact page with an email option and a local UK telephone number.

Trumpia resellers are provided a number support services including video tutorials, webinars (both live and recorded), support tickets, statistics, and more.  They seem to have done a great job at giving their resellers a number of avenues and solutions to help educate themselves, build their own business, and troubleshoot their own issues.  By providing their resellers with a number of ways to find answers it would appear they have reduced the amount of customer service they would need to provide via the toll-free phone service.
